I've been feeling a little blah. It may be that it's been snowing for
twelve months in northeast Ohio!!
I know the best way to get back on track is to get my eating on track and I need to get back to the gym. So, I'm on a smoothie kick. I'm trying to pack as many fruits and vegetables into my day as possible. Last week there was a collard green smoothie, and tomorrow I think I'll try a masterful avocado blend. Check back for those recipes.
If you need to get things back on track, try this smoothie.
The base is strawberries. Strawberries are high in potassium and vitamin C. Then I added some fun stuff.
….and Ginger also high in vitamin C and potassium. You have to try this one.
Strawberry Smoothie Blast
1 Small Banana
6 Medium Strawberries
4 Ice Cubes
1 Teaspoon Chia Seeds
1 Teaspoon Brown Flax Seed
1 Cup Coconut Milk
6 Thin Slices of Ginger (approximately 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch)
1 Scoop Whey Protein (use your favorite brand)
Place all ingredients in a blender. Mix well. Enjoy.
